Shigeo Otake is an unrivaled Dr. Mushroom and is amazed by his deep knowledge and obsession. More than 30 years ago, Mr. Otake’s excitement after visiting the autumn forest, He showed me his freshly “picked” pictures with his commentary, but he was completely obsessed with the depth of the appeal of a wide variety of mushrooms. There is no exit anymore, and I understand that there is a deep world as we go astray, even without any mushroom knowledge. I cannot stop to imagine the excitement of how fungi and “fungi man” will be appeared in the world he draws. There are many fans who are intoxicated by the unique colors of his world and the peculiar appearance of “character” drawn like mysterious animals and fantasic person. I am also the one of them.
It is a great pleasure to be able to introduce his work in Denmark this time, and I hope that not only Danish painting fans but also people who want to enter the fantastic world will enjoy his world.
