Nea Lerpa lives partly in Denmark, partly in Italy. Early on he travelled to Andalusia and Lapland – European contrasts. He has visited India on several occasions, and recently travelled to the Sahara Desert. His works have been shown in galleries, expo-centers, museums etc. in many European countries, in India and China, and in the USA. He works on a cross-cultural basis with musicians, composers, authors, ceramists, poets, sculpturers, blacksmiths, lithographs, architects,  the film- and video-branch etc..
He believes in the great abstraction, in a boundless colour orgy, in constant changes, sur-prising contrasts and comparisons. He derives his inspirartion from the world of butterflies, and from the human spirit. Past, present and imagination form a visual synthesis, which may be hard to If grasp. The colour precision and shading, the exact composition, everything originates in the artist’s total need for a sensual experience.

NES LERPA,born in 1942 in Copenhagen.
